October 26-27, 2019 Breathwork Clinician Training Module 3
30 available Slots
This two-day training guides attendees through the judgments and blocks that can impede a mutually respectful clinician/client relationship. This is the fourth of 10 levels designed to prepare and qualify attendees to lead breathwork sessions in mental health, addiction, trauma, and eating disorder treatment settings.
• Embracing the personal judgments that prevent us from seeing clients as “human.”
• Exploring the ways we get stuck in ideas and stories related to clients’ desire for help (or perceived lack thereof).
• Identifying personal biases related to “truths” about recovery and measuring clients’ success.
• Understanding how clients’ defense mechanisms mirror our own, and how to move through those blocks.
• Turning inward to explore areas in which we feel stuck, and how we project outward onto clients and the world around us.
• Building confidence and proficiency in facilitating breathwork on a 1×1 level (hands-on guidance will be provided).
Upon completion of Breathwork Clinician Training Module 3, attendees will have a stronger understanding of their own biases and judgments and how to manage them in a clinical setting.
Time commitment: 16 hours (completed over the course of one weekend)
Breathwork is a proven method of unearthing and resolving trauma, regulating the nervous system, and inspire a lasting sense of wellbeing. This somatic practice can help your clients overcome nervous system dysregulation and experience a sense of “instant gratification” relief, often after just one session.
This course is designed for mental health professionals, clinicians and students interested in deepening their practice by learning about the benefits of breathwork in working with trauma clients.
